About Dunbar Organic Farm

MEMBER SINCE 2015

Dunbar Organic Farm is a small-scale market garden utilizing organic and ecological practices while fostering community connections through involvement with local city youth. The farm is located on FarmStart’s incubator farm in Hamilton. All vegetables are grown without the use of artificial chemicals, pesticides or herbicides and all seeds are GMO-free. Dunbar Organic Farm supports Neighbour 2 Neighbour Centre and Living Rock Youth Centre with produce donations.

Our Products Beans, Beans (dry), Beets, Cabbage, Carrots, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Garlic, Herbs, Kale, Leeks, Lettuce, Onions, Onions (green), Parsnips, Peas, Peppers, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Radishes, Rutabaga/Turnips, Spinach, Squash (summer), Squash (winter), Sunchokes, Tomatoes and Value-Added Products. We also offer a variety of seeds for sale.
Our Practices Dunbar Organic Farm utilizes Organic growing methods (non-certified), crop rotation, cover crops, low-tillage, seed saving and using heirloom vegetable varieties whenever possible. In order to support native pollinator populations a variety of flowers and herbs are grown to enhance their habitat
