About Leisure Farms
MEMBER SINCE 2010
“In 1982 my father started what is now the largest pick-your-own strawberry operation in Ontario. Before that, my grandparents were beef and dairy farmers,” says 3rd generation farmer Mitch Deschatelets. Mitch devotes plenty of time, work and effort into growing “the best tasting fruit and vegetables possible.” His mother uses farm-grown produce in her mouth-watering recipes for the farm-gate bakery and store his father manages, while Mitch runs the farm. Mitch enjoys selling at the market where he gets a chance to catch up with “strawberry season customers during the vegetable season.” Life at Leisure Farms is anything but leisurely!
