MyPick® Verified Local Farmer® Program
The MyPick® logo helps shoppers identify participating farmers who sell products grown or produced on their own farms.
As part of the program, Farmers’ Markets Ontario® visits participating farms and verifies the products included in their MyPick® certification. When shoppers see the MyPick® logo at a market stand, they can feel confident that they are purchasing verified products directly from the farmer who produced them.
The program was created to provide greater transparency at Ontario farmers’ markets. Different types of vendors may participate in a market, and it is not always easy for shoppers to understand where each product comes from. MyPick® makes it easier to recognize verified local farmers and learn more about the people behind the food.
For participating farmers, MyPick® offers a clear way to share their farm story, build trust with customers and highlight the work involved in growing and producing food in Ontario.
