Farmers' Markets Ontario Economic Impact Study

Farmers' Markets have been a fixture in many Ontario towns and cities for centuries. While their prominence as vital market and provisioning locations has certainly changed over the decades, they continue to be an important generator of economic, social, and environmental benefits at all spatial scales - from the local to the global. The purpose of this report was to quantify the economic impacts stemming from farmers' markets in the Province of Ontario on the basis of a market census taken by Experience Renewal Solutions Inc. for Farmers' Markets Ontario in 2008.
